Head

Delirium, s stupor. Frontal pain, congestion of head, with burning in cheeks. Drawing pain in peri- osteum of skull.

Eyes

Pain behind eyeballs, as if forced out. Phlyctenulae; deep ulcers on cornea. Excessive photo- phobia and acrid lachrymation. Iritis. Pain severe at night; burning, shooting, tearing. Little tendency to pus formation. Iris muddy in color, thick, and neither contructs nor dilates. Retinitis albuminuric, ophthalmia neonatorum. Lids oedematous, red, excoriated. Severe burning. Soreness of the eyes.

Ears

Violent pulsations. Fetid pus.

Nose

Excessive coryza. Ozaena, with perforation of septum nasi. [Kali bich.] Rawness and smarting inaostrils. Post-nasal swelling, mucous membrane dry,

Face

Swollen. Red, puffy. Lips black, swollen. Sordes. Facial neuralgia within the bones.

Mouth

Teeth loose. Gums purple, swollen, and spongy. Tongue swollen and inflamed. Salivation. Pyorrhcea. Ptyalism. Taste salty and bitter.

Throat

Red, sollcn, rainful, intensely inflamed. Uvula swollen. Szeullowiny puinful. Most pain is post- nasal vith sharp pains to cars. Burning pain, with great sweling; worse, slight external pressure. A11 glands about thorax swollen.

Stomach

Incessant, green, bilious vomiting. Epi- gastrium very sensitive.

Abdomen

Bruised sensation: crccal region and transverse colon painfui. Bloated: very painful to least touch.

Stool

The tenesmus often involves the bladder as well. Bright's disease. Gonorrhoea; second stage, with con- tinuous tenesmus. Destroys the secreting portions of the kidneys. This process is slow, but sure. Albuminuria in early pregnancy. (Phosph. later and at full ter.) Dysentery; tenesinus, not relieved by stool; incessant. Stool hot, bloody, slimy, offensive, with cut- ting pains and shreds of mucous membrane.

Male

Penis and testes enormously Swollen. Chancres assume phagedanic appearance. Gonorrhoea; urethral orifice red, swollen; glans sore and hot. Dis- charge greenish, thick.

Respiratory

Pain in larynx as cut with knife. Aphonia. Cough, with bloody expectoration. Pulse rapid and intermittent. Stitches through side of chest. Urine. -- Intense burning in n urethra. Urine hot, burning, scanty or suppressed; bloody, greenish dis- charge. Albuminous. [Helon.; Tereb.; Ran. n.; Am- mon, bens.; Ars.] Tenesmus of bladder. Stabbing pain extending up urethra into bladder. Perspiration after urinating.

Fever

Chilly from slightest exposure. Profuse perspiration ; surfaces cold.

Modalities

Worse, evening, night, acids. Better, while at rest.

Relationships

Compare: Ars.; Lach.; Lconurus - Motherwort (Influences pelvic organs, allays spasm and nervous irritability, promotes secretion and reduces febrile excitement. Valuable in suppressed menses and lochia; (dysentery; vomiting, frightful pains in ab- domen, violent thirst. Tongue dry and cracked). Antidote: Calcium sulphide is antidotal to Bichloride poisoning. Use intravenous injection of 7% grains in 7y/ ozs. boiled water. Silicea.

Dose

Sixth potency. In solution 1 : 1000, hypo- dermically injected under conjunctiva in choroditis with progressive myopia. Stops immediately the severe ach- ing pain behind eyeballs. (Dr. G. D. Hallet.)
