Squilla Maritima

Sea-onion

Broncho-pneumonia. A slow acting remedy. Corre- sponds to ailments requiring several days to each their maximum. Persistent, dull, rheumatic pains permeate e body. A spleen medicine: stitches under left free ribs. Important heart and kidney medicine. Acts especially on mucous membranes of the res- piratory and digestive tracts, and also upon the kidneys. Valuable in chronic bronchitis of old people with mucous rales, dyspnoea, aid scanty urine.

Eyes

Feel irritable; child bores into them with fists.

Stomach

Pressure Jike a stone.

Urinary

Great urging: much watery urine. In- voluntary when coughing.

Respiratory

Fluent coryza: margins of nostrils feel sore. Sneezing: throat irritated: short, dry cough; must take a deep breath. Dyspnaa und stitches in chest, and painful contraction of abdominal muscles. I'iolcnt, furious, exhausting cough, with much mucus; profuse, salty, slimy expectoration, and with involun- tary spurting of urine and sneesing. Child rubs face ith fist during cough. [Caust.; Puls.] Cough pro- voked by taking a deep breath or cold drinks, from ex- ertion, change fronl warm to cold air. Cough of measles. Frequent calls to urinate at night, passing large quantities. [Phos. ac.] Sneesing writh coughing.

Heart

A cardiac stimulant affecting the peri- pheral vessels and coronary arteries.

Extremities

Icy cold hands and feet, with warmth of the rest of the body. [Menyanthes.] Tender feet with shop girls.

Skin

Small, red spots over body, with prickling pain.

Better, rest; worse, motion

First to third potency.
