Mullein

Has a pronounced action on the inferior maxillary lranch of the fifth pair of the cranial nerves; on the car: and respiratory tract and bladder. Cutarrhs. and colds. zoith periodical prosopalgia. Quiets nervous, and bronchial, and urinary irritation, and cough.

Ears

Otalgia, with a sense of obstruction. Deaf- ness. Dry, scaly condition of meatus (use locally).

Face

Neuralgia affecting zygoma, temporo maxil- lary joint, and ear [Mcnyanth.], particularly of left side, with lachrymation, coryza, and sensation as if 'parts rocrc crushed with tongs. Talking, sneezing, and change of temperature aggravate the pains; also, press- ing teeth together.

Abdomen

Pain extends deep down, causing con- traction of sphincter ani.

Stool

Inflamed and painful piles.

Rectum

Many movements a day, with twisting about 1avel. Hemorrhoids, with obstructed, hardened

Urinary

Constant dribbling. .Enuresis. Burning urination. Increase with pressure in bladder.

Respiratory

Hoarse; voice deep, harsh : sounds like a trumpet;“asso profundo."( Cough: worse at night. Asthma. Soreness in pharynx, cough during sleep.

Extremities

Cramp-like pain in soles. righit foot, and knee. Lower extremities feel heavy. Thumb feels numb. Neuralgic pain in left ankle. Stiffness and soreness of joints of lower extremities.

Modalities

I'orse, change of temperature, talking, sneezing, biting hard; from 9 A. M. to 4 P M.

Relationships

Compare: Rhus arom.: Caust.; Plutin.; Sphingurus (pain in zygoma).

Dose

M/ ullcin oil, locally, for earache and dry, scaly condition of meatus. Also for teasing cough at night or lying down. Einurcsis, five-drop doses night and morning. Internally. tincture and lower potencies.
